In Colorado, Cher worked as a counselor with at-risk youth, facilitating
groups by using artwork as a means of self-expression and self-discovery.
She moved to Oregon in 2008, when she then became a full time professional artist. Cher’s art is based on the belief that we are all beautiful beings, if only we could really see our being-ness. Her distinctive and colorful images are designed to convey a breaking out of our boxes and a sense of being-ness that is too large to be contained. Her paintings show us the beauty of our free spirits–larger than life–and affirm the truth that anything is possible if only we believe it.
“Cher’s art is seductive. It appears simple on the surface, but underneath, it teems with meaning, which deepens as you consider the colors, the textures,
the themes. She challenges us to live bold, beautiful lives!” – Cherie Renae
